Razer Naga 2012 for ranger
I don’t have that model, but on my mouse I just put 6,7,8,9, and 0 mapped on the mouse so I don’t have to stretch across the keyboard. I also have a button for 1 mapped on a key so I can auto-attack while I move around.
I use the blue Razer Naga with default bindings and have done for a a while now. After an hour or so you start using it exclusively and it’s awesome.
As for key mappings, you don’t need to map anything. The number keys by your thumb are already mapped to 1-0, – and =. That’s your hotbar taken care of right there.
Thanks guys, I think i need a couple days to get use to the mouse as well.
I use the Naga as well. I have the numeric keys just bound regularly, and I have the front left button bound to tab, and the back left button bound to ` to switch weapons on my warrior.
I don’t understand the point of a mouse with 12 buttons for a game that really doesn’t have that many abilities
keyboard is enough
I remap 6-9 & 0 to the thumbpad as well; however I also bind roll, strafe left, strafe right & reverse (thumbpad 10-12). With the option to roll/evade on double press, 10-12 are amazing for your mobility.
Additionally, I remap 5 to ‘E’.
@noblue:
The nice thing about using naga w/ GW2 is that you can use each hand independently for a task. You can split controls so that you can use either your keyboard or the mouse for your mobility while, at the same time, using skills with the other hand. This prevents you having to try to do multiple things with 1 hand at the same time. Does that make a mouse like this necessary? Absolutely not. Does using a mouse like this make you more effective? Possibly, for some people.
Edit: added response for noblue.

That’s nice :P
It’s a great mouse for MMOs – means you don’t have to take your left hand off of WASD at any point.
I have OG Naga and an N52TE my only real suggestion is to put map and items on the 11 and 12 keys as those are two things i use allot when trying to craft and get my map completion
I use a standard Razor Naga. I click the mouse wheel down for dodge and use Alt+1 for weapon swap, everything else 1-12 is default. The two buttons beside the left click button feel awkward, I feel that they would do better on the right side, so I don’t use them.
I have the 4-0 keys set to the 1-7 buttons, weapon swap set to 8, auto-run set to 9, inventory set to 10, map set to 11, and F set to 12
oh just use the default layout. I’ve been using it since launch seems to be working fine for me
I have the logitech g600 which is a similar mouse. I use it in conjunction with my steelseries merc stealth, so the only keys I do bind are: 11 as 6(my heal), 0 as f1, 7 as f2, 8 as f3, 9 as f4, and 12 as weapon swap. With my keyboard I find I have an easier time with this setup.

Razer Naga is a great tool! Now I have not always thought that. I bought one back when they were released in 2009 and was frustrated right out of the box. Not to mention the game play was horrible using it. I quickly threw it in the junk drawer to gather dust for the rest of it’s existence.
So, I pulled that dern mouse out and told myself I was going to force myself to use it for at least 30 days., due to the cost of the unit … and … well … the rest is history. And I have not looked back since! Naga all the way!
It may take some people a few hours, some people a couple day, or some people a few weeks to get used to the Razer Naga … but I implore you to give it at least 30 days and if your not happy with it go back to the mouse you are used to.
As for key bindings – non are really needed, it can be used right out of the box with 1 through = on your keyboard.
OMG once I bought a naga a couple years ago I literally will not play without one, they are invaluable. I have my whole hotbar on the buttons on the side of the mouse, then I have f1- f4 bound to shift+1 – shift+4 so i literally use my left thumb for a ton of stuff then i have G bound to weapon switch. RAZER NAGA FOR LIFE@@@!!!!!!
