If you are new to gw2, or aren’t but haven’t tried ReShade (or just sweetfx) yet, you should consider it. I honestly think if the game looked this good upon install, people would kitten themselves.
The simplest sharpen settings effect can be compared to being near sighted then putting glasses on. Open these examples in your browser on separate tabs and switch between the two. You might think the difference it’s too slight but it’s actually huge when playing:

Pay close attention to details on close/distant objects, eg the skritt village in set 2.
If you want to try it out WP has a good guide on it. You have to turn of postprocessing (which you should turn off regardless :P), turn off antialiasing, and run windowed fullscreen (which runs smoother than fullscreen anyway).

I myself run a very cleaned up ReShade config file which gives 0 fps loss, doesn’t modify any colors, and just sharpens things. (examples above and below) Careful with some settings, you might see huge fps drops on certain effects like Engineer’s smoke bomb or flame wall. So if you see that (you can toggle reshade on or off in game with a key press to check) – play more with settings, simplify.
Attaching config here if anyone wants. I used to run more enhanced settings but when I went to HoT maps my eyes would bleed from how too green everything was
I am actually thinking of going to Lion’s Arch and just broadcasting about Re-Shade in map chat to get more players aware of it.
In conclusion – GW2 looks amazing , and this will make you see just how amazing :P ReShade makes such a huge difference that I sometimes feel it would be a crime to have people playing the game without telling them about this. %))) Thus the post.
