Q:
Real Money Trading in the future of Guild Wars 2?
A:
GW2 is compared to Eve because in Eve players can buy PLEX with real money and sell for in-game currency on the Market. People that buy the PLEX for in-game money can use the PLEX to pay their subscription fees. GW2 players can buy gems for cash and sell for coin, gems can be bought for coin and use to purchase merchandise in the Gem Store.
No mystery to the comparison nor does it in any way imply that Anet will open up the game to real money person to person sales.
Why exactly would they want to do this? If anything, it would only increase the number of unscrupulous players in the community and open the doors for large-scale botting and item farming, as seen in a certain recently-released dungeon crawling RPG.

please don’t open this can of worms and let it destroy this game.
Let me clarify my question so as to get a relevant (A)nswer. I did not post in the forums looking for positive or negative comments as to the reasoning behind having real money trading in game. I am specifically seeking any knowledge of written articles on any MMOzine that further clarify the comparison of the Guild Wars 2 trading system with EVEOs trading system and/or any articles that indicate the possibility of RMT in the future of Guild Wars 2. For discussions on the negative aspects and/or positive benefits of RMT please open a separate thread.
I do not recall having read anything indicating the possibility of gem → real money trading . It doesn’t seem like something that is likely to be added either to me. Trading system is compared to Eve due the use of both buy and sell orders.
