They’re taking up so much bank space, and I can’t think of a single reason why I need this many. (I use Frostbitten gathering tools pretty often, so they Just Keep Piling Up!)

I just destroy them. Or sell to a vendor.

Promote them to the next tier up.
Repeat to top tier.
Use to craft exotics.
Forge for Precursors.

Or promote to second to top tier.
Use to craft rares
Sell or forge for precursors.

Keep for eventual return of the Bazaar (Get Those Flying Gypsies Back on Their Feet edition)

Can they still be promoted? I tried tossing the dust, snowflakes, and philosophers stones into the forge but the forge button remained grayed out.

You might be using the wrong dust or the wrong snowflake. It’s shimmering dust and delicate snowflakes (plus the tiny ones) that you need.

You might be using the wrong dust or the wrong snowflake. It’s shimmering dust and delicate snowflakes (plus the tiny ones) that you need.

Thanks. I’d actually triple checked that I had the right components (wiki) and pulled all the dust types into my pack to be sure, along with tiny and delicate and all dust would gray out the minute I moved both tiny and philosopher stones into forge slots. I logged out and back in, then it worked. Having pretty noticeable lag and other weirdness in game, so I’m wondering if that was messing with me.

In fact, it did this post as two posts. So yeah. Something odd is going on with me today.

You can do the promotion stuff, or you can just vendor/delete them.

Rest assured that the very Tuesday after you’ve gotten rid of them, Anet will do something that rockets their price to 3 or 4 silver a piece.

*edit: yeah, some personal experience there may have tainted my response. lol

I’ve promoted some, but also destroyed a stack or 2…..I don’t think you can sell them a vendor (tho the TP will let you list them….along with the 2gazillion other ones a 2c).

I’ve had 500 listed on the TP for 2c each since the end of Wintersday. Abut 20 of them randomly sold at one point but nothing since then.

The rest I just delete.
