Sometimes this connection appeares on my account TX , US (64.25.32.69). Is my account compromised or this is kind of bug?

Probably not. I think it’s just the location of the server your ISP has connected you to in order to access the Internet proper. I live in the North-East of England and have to reset my router more than I care to, so sometimes when I have to confirm my connection to GW2, I’m listed as being somewhere close like Durham or Newcastle, and other times it’s the backside end of Birmingham, Manchester or Wakefield, which is far more distant.

It’s just routing through the servers based in Tx.

Hey folks, no worries. There are several routes through which you go to access the game or the forums, and I’m told the forum sometimes throws an access IP from Texas, but that’s you… or us… or you talking with us on the forums. So it’s all good.

If you don’t have it already you should get either the IP authorization or the 2 factor authorization that this game has set up. Either one will stop someone from outside your IP from accessing your account, even if they know your complete login information.

It’s well worth setting up one or the other.

You could just delete that as an authorized connection. If it is a connection that you use, you will get the notification email (or other means) to authorize it (reauthorize).

Funny thing, reading this reminded me to check my connections (I like to clear the list every so often, just in case) and it was showing my only active one as being in TX, US which would be really weird since I’m in the UK and connect to the EU servers.

I deleted it along with all the rest and when I tried to log in again it asked me for email confirmation. Although this time it was showing Milton Keynes, UK which is about as accurate as I could expect it to get.

Apparently is has to do with the server’s IP being registered in Texas and this registration causes that IP to show up.

Hello hash. This is in no way true. The server IP’s were registered in Texas which is why you’re seeing this, however, the data center for EU servers is actually located in Frankfurt, Germany.
