So I am working towards gearing my character with Soldier’s heavy armor. I know where to get it but idk what kind would be more useful. Obviously, the Orr Karma set has PVT but I don’t like that it already has the Sigils on it. Also, I believe that dungeon sets have a sigil already places on them but I can’t remember exactly. So would it make more sense to buy the WvW set with gold and badges and get the sigil I want (I would need to transmute it as I hate the look of the WvW look)? Or should I craft exotics with Soldier stats and just spend the money on it?

Craft exotics if you have the gold, use dungeon tokens if you like dungeons. Runes can be replaced by simply overwriting them with the ones you want to use.

WvW gear and Orrian Karma gear should be a last resort since neither can be salvaged to reclaim your runes should you ever desire to do so. The exception would be if you plan to use Melandru runes, nearly the entire heavy Soldier’s set comes with free Melandru runes and that can save you a lot of gold.

The preset runes are almost always bad so you’ll want to change them out regardless. For a Soldier’s dungeon set your only options would be from “Ascalonian Catacombs” or “Sorrows Embrace”. Acquiring the AC set would be the easiest/fastest, but in my opinion its super plain/ugly. If you already plan on transmuting it then it shouldn’t be a problem.

Don’t use karma or wvw tokens because you can’t salvage those, just do dungeons for tokens and with the gold earned u can buy more pieces
