hello,

i came back two days ago after a longer pause (the last thing i did was the super adventure box i think) and i was a bit overwhelmed by some of the changes accounting wardrobe/skins and other stuff. so i checked my inventory and unlocked several skins which took away many slots in my inventory and i was like “hey thats a great feature! lets add all those skins and clear up my bag!”

of course i didnt stop at the “Super Greatsword” and (i still could bash me 24/7 for doing that) clicked on “unlock skin” on it as well. the sword of course disappeared and literally a big hammer hit me because i never ever wanted to use this skin for myself. instead i wanted to wait and sell it later on in the trading post for some extra cash to level up the professions on my alts + crafting ascended gear (having 20g or 320g is be a big difference for a player like me)

now to my question: is there probably any chance i could get this skin back into my inventory while deleting the skin out of my wardrobe? some of the other MMOs have a 1-item-policy about this even if the customer messes up bigtime. is there such a thing in gw2 too? i wanted to ask here first before i start a ticket (i actually only found the ticketservice to report bugs but nothing related to customer-support itself yet).

i would appreciate any help about this, thanks!

I don’t know that there’s a set policy, your best bet would just be to ask Support directly, I’ve found them to be pretty cool in those matters.

Use the form here, give the details and ask nicely, hopefully you can get it back. Good luck!

You can ask support but I suspect they don’t be able to help you. As far as I can tell from reading previous posts, support can’t alter your hero panel. That they don’t have the tools to go in and change things like laurels, karma, and items in the wardrobe. Their only tool might be an account rollback and that is only for hacked accounts. And I think they won’t send you another because then you would be able to sell it while having it available to use in your wardrobe.

So, you can ask but don’t be too surprised if they can’t help you.

it gives me still a headache that i just threw away about 300gold and two weeks of superbox farming with a click in overenthusiastic clearing of my bags while i basically have no gold at all and wanted to get started in gw2 again.

A pity they couldn’t help you. 300 gold is a lot.

Well, good luck in game anyway. (Dungeons are good for a fair amount of gold daily if you want to run them).

i already did and i got the mail the next day i posted above.

i also wrote a second mail to them to ask if its true that they cant alter the hero panel and now an other GM answered to me:

there couldnt be a more basic “answer” to this. did they even read my mails? i mean this mail could be a standardized phrase they use and i have the feeling they are just “working through” the tickets to accomplish a ticketcount without even trying to help or to explain why something is/isnt possible.
