Hello community.Im a “new” player to GW2…even though I have like 100+ hours.So,first I joined the “Anvil Rock” server.When I did that,i didn’t expect the lag or ping to be so high (190-200).Now I want to join an EU server,as im from EU.I would love to join either Gandara,Seafarer’s Rest,Far Shiverpeak or Desolation but,everytime I check,they are full.

Now,on a forum,i saw a post about someone using a macro to join a full server,and I read that macro’s are permited as long as they don’t give an edge.

Are macro’s permited for server-change?

Any Macro that performs more than one function per keypress is prohibited. This means that a Macro that continuously attempts to join a full server (what I assume the alleged macro does) would get you banned.

Regardless, ANet recently changed the mechanics for determining the population of worlds. It is now setup so that it no longer varies over short periods of time, i.e. it won’t do you any good to spam your attempts: those servers that are full at this moment will be full in 5 minutes, as well kitten minutes, 5 hrs, or 5 days from now.

(INB4: of course ANet needs to do something so people can transfer more easily, including changing the incentives to those leaving full servers. I don’t expect that to happen any time soon, though.)
