Ok, maybe I’m crazy but didn’t there used to be the titles such as paragon, magus, phantom, etc? Now I only see Champion ones and the wiki doesn’t say anything except champion such as Champion Paragon.

Not at home, so i cant check ingame, but as far as i remember, there were different achievements for sPvP and tPvP

for Mesmer at least, sPvP gives you Illusionist achievement (iirc) and tPvP gives you Champion Illusionist achievement and a title.

The sPvP achievements never gave titles.

sPvP itself gave no titles but general PvP does.
Titles you get for beating a certain amount of players or for winning a certain amount of matches or for getting a certain amount of rank points.

I guess those people got the tPvP rank “Champion …” and as that one is harder to achieve they use that one instead.
