Guild Wars 2

So I got this game for my birthday about a year, or so ago, which I was ecstatic about. Started playing it with my brother’s and sister then got busy with rl. Siblings stopped playing and I was starting to find the game hard. Kept dying for…too many times that I care to remember. lol So I stopped playing till now. I’ve wanted to get back to playing, but was hesitant because I remembered that I found this game hard, but it has the potential to be fun if I didn’t die so many times. .; Anyway! To the point! I’ve deleted my characters (didn’t get far. lol Highest was 11. lol) and remade them on Tarnished Coast as I’ve heard lots of good things about the server, so I’m hoping that goods things will start looking up for me in this game. XD Feel free to add me~ I’m happy to meet new people as I’m a really friendly, albeit shy, person. lol ^^; and maybe wouldn’t mind helping me sometime~ ^^

I am a resident of Tarnished Coast myself and would be glad to help you out in-game and answer any questions you may have. I’m away for academia at the moment, but in the meantime, I’ll do my best to help you here.

It does a very good job of explaining the structure of GW2’s combat system, and the concepts of support/control/DPS and how they differ from the traditional healer/tank/DPS trinity found in other MMOs.

If you don’t mind me asking:
-What class did you play? and
-How did you fight? Did you stand still, or move around constantly? Did you hit attacks at random, autoattack, or plan them out?

Note that this enemy (which is beyond my level) hits me for over half my health with a normal attack- I could not have tanked or outhealed the damage. Instead, I avoided its attacks by moving around, backing off when it did powerful attacks, and slowing it down with my skills.

I played an Asuran Theif and a Norn Guardian. ^^ I did make a Charr Engineer and a Human Necro to try out the playstyle. I might make another class to try out as I have one spot left. XD

I normally stood still as I thought it was like most MMOs in that aspect. ^^; I kind of hit attacks at random when dealing with trash, but when it came to some bigger monsters like bosses then I usually planned out my attacks.

I find knowing what look im going for right from the beginning is helpful in character creation. I am more likely to keep a toon if I like how the look. check out this site to see what armor types there are and what looks cool to you:
