Returning Player need advice
Welcome back.
Avoid the PvE community, they have gotten very lazy over the years. Remember when money was scarce and you had to really work for it? You must, crafting Bolt required charged lodestones didn’kitten
Aside from that … best tips I can offer – work on your personal story that you left off on, or jump into Heart of Thorns so you can get your glider. People still champ farm in Orr and Frostgorge Sound.
World boss timer always has groups running them. Just google gw2 dragon timer, pick your server and go to town.
Fractals got some work done.
Biggest shocker – price of leather … is ridiculous. Used to be the cheapest commodity that you couldn’t even sell for on the tp, now the most sought after.
You might want to check out The Silverwastes for PvE, especially if you do not have HoT and are considering buying it. It is slightly more difficult than the rest of the PvE maps and a good training ground to prepare for the difficulty leap into HoT. There are generally two types of groups you can find in the LFG tool regarding The Silverwastes. The first is groups doing events and the second is groups chest farming. The later is just a group running in circles collecting chests. So I’d suggest trying to join an event groups.
Make a new toon and start from the beginning to get reacquainted.
And get gliding ASAP, it’s way fun. Assuming you have the expansion?
And yeah, this goes in Players Helping Players, but don’t worry it’ll get moved there.
I don’t have the expansion yet, I may start a new toon to get re aquinted that sounds like a good route, I recall it didn’t take too long to hit 80. Yes I remember the scarcity of resources, I poured no cash into the gem store and spent 6 months farming here and there finding rare items to sell on TP until I finally gathered all the resources to make Bolt. I remember the sense of accomplisment I got when I finished it. Are Legendaries more easily obtained now?
