Guild Wars 2

Sadly I wasn’t able to play GW2 much after it released. I hit max level on my Necro and had a lot of things go south IRL.. but now I have plenty of free time on my hands to pick the game back up!

I guess I’m just curious as to how I should approach getting back into the swing of things. The last I remember was working on full map completion and possibly working on things for a legendary weapon(this was shortly after GW2 released)

Should finishing everything on the map be a good first step? I’ve been very overwhelmed and confused by all the added content. Living worlds, new zones etc.

I suppose I’m just looking for a couple quick notes of things to work on/shoot for, or things I should focus on completion-wise (I noticed a new expansion is upcoming as well).

I mostly just enjoy PvE (solo + group) Any tips or hints would be greatly appreciated, as I missed this game a lot

Yes, do the Map Completion and your Personal Story, to get used to the game again.
Then I suggest to work into ascended weapons, those have the same stats of a legendary, but you can’t change the stats.
For the Living Story, check the wiki if the story and rewards interest you, if you like you’ll have to buy then for 200 gems each chapter.
Also, look for a guide for Dry Top and Silverwastes, those are 2 new maps with a lot of new mechanics, and Silverwastes is currently a good place to make gold.
