Guild Wars 2

Hey i have recently became interested in this game again, i played for a month at launch before my account got hacked and i kinda lost interest. I used to play on the EU servers but i moved to america last year so i need a new server. Could anyone recommend me a good friendly active server that’s not full on the american side ?

Also hows the pve dungeons? i remember back when i played no one realy knew how to play them and the whole no tank no healer class was strange.

Unless you are interested in WvW, server choice is now meaningless as the “Megaserver” tech the game now uses fill maps with players from all servers. It does use server, guild and of course party to help determine which instance of the map to dump you into but more often than not, it can seem random but at least the maps tend to be full of other players at all hours.

If WvW is important, then you can check out the current WvW rankings. Be warned that top servers will tend to be full and not available.

Well with the sales during the last few game cons, we have a lot of new players starting characters. Also many lower level zones have world bosses and when they pop up, lots of players stream in.

So another question:

I just noticed world transfers cost 1800 gems for some reason i thought it world be free >< kitten When i played before i lived in the UK so i picked a EU Server but now i live in America so my ping will probably be bad, if i delete all my old chars can i change to an american server free of charge? or do i have to bite the bullet and pay $20.

Sucky thing is its me and my wife so its probably gonna end up being $50 to transfer our accounts over ><

Yeah if you delete all your characters, you can transfer for free. Be sure to put items you want in your bank though.

Thank you very much for the info. My account got hacked and striped back when i quit so just have a naked lvl 80 guardian to my name haha was able to get 89% map explored on him but i don’t want to pay that much to transfer so its a fresh start for me. Thanks again
