So, I’ve just started playing GW2 again after a long hiatus and noticed something as I was going around Queensdale collecting matts for crafting, humanoid creatures weren’t dropping shredded garments – more specifically bandits and centaurs. I understand that the game went through many balancing changes, so are shredded garments just not dropped in a 1-15 lvl land?

As far as I know, and have seen, Shredded Garments do drop in starter zones with the exception of Wayfarer Foothills. I don’t believe Centaurs drop the item, though.

Perhaps, it’s just a matter of RNG.

I don’t know, but I generally get plenty of cloth from salvage in all the zones, including the starter zones. So … I wouldn’t worry so much about exactly what drops the cloth, and instead, just salvage all the things and take it.

If it’s only the cloth armor at the moment, it’s still cloth.
