Guild Wars 2

First and foremost, what is the lowest level affected by the newest expansion? So I can judge when I need to buy it.

Second do I need to buy other expansions before that or are they included in it?

Next is something that’s missing. 2 years ago a new human toon had a weapon for underwater fighting immediately. I have levelled up twice but still no weapon for underwater? I remember clearing the water at the quarry (lvl 3) while do the heart at the quarry. What do I need to do to get this weapon now?

Finally, I do have scrolls for instant levelling that I’m wondering about, but if I use one where do I then level further? starter area due to weapon/skills/armor being low level or will they level up with me making going to the appropriate level area an option?

1. Heart of Thorns is for level 80 characters.

2. Heart of Thorns is the only expansion. (there is a small series of short missions called Season 2 that would need to be purchased seperately)

3. Underwater combat has all but been abandoned. If you need an underwater weapon, just visit the trading post.

4. As you level (even with the books) you will receive some new equipment but you will need to buy some gear to fill out the rest of your character.
