Guild Wars 2

I played GW2 briefly as a warrior when it first came out many moons ago. Shortly after I had some real life things happen from moving, to legal issues, to job and money issues, etc. all arise in a short manner of time. Long story short I am re-installing and wish to start playing again. My dilemma is that I never got a fair shake-down of the game in my first go-round so I am basically a brand new “noob” player and I am lost as to where to even begin to look for guides, help and direction.

I know I wish to eventually participate in WvW and well as crafting and eventual raiding. I like to do it all, but my heart belongs to PvP (WvW).

I am leaning towards playing an engineer, or some other form of ranged class, perhaps Ranger.

I am looking for any possible links, info, direction people might be willing to toss my way that I can read/watch as the game downloads, installs and patches in the background.

I can help you more often there. But for now I’ll do my best here.
You can WvW when ever you want, but I suggest doing so as endgame.(lv80 and exotic gear). A warrior can use bow and rifle for ranged, I like ranger for world event and farming Engi I feel is best as hybrid Condi-Power. Mesmer is hard to level solo but good in WvW. All classes have a ranged weapon remember that. For crafting save all your materials. If by raiding you mean world bosses pick Ranger to try. If you mean dungeons try Engi.
