Guild Wars 2

Pretty new to GW2. Haven’t done any gaming since the old school Neverwinter Nights was out.

I was curious to know if players do much role playing. I haven’t seen a whole lot of it as of yet.

There are role playing back then. Was absent to the game for 2 years break so not sure if it is still around. But I would recommend looking around the major city. Like divinity reach or lions arch.

There are RP guilds. I saw a bunch the other day in Queens dale, so they are out there, on EU servers anyway.

Tarnished Coast for US and… Piken Square for EU? I think?

Try joining one of those servers to help match you up to the roleplayers there. I know DR is a hotspot for RP in Tarnished Coast, so check the bars in the area.

Not really. Not anymore. Anet effectivly killed roleplaying by introducing the megaservers years ago. Before that, we had servers specifically targeted to roleplayers, such as Piken Square EU mentioned above (that’s what I joined on release). Random roleplaying could be seen in the early days, it was quite enjoyable. Now its very rare.

Your best bet is to go to any city (DR probably most popular) and look for roleplaying guilds, if that’s what you are looking for.

Guest your character in Tarnished coast and head to various taverns in the world, you’re surely find people RPing in there. You can also search in the GW2 Roleplayers site for guild invites There are quite a lot.
