I bought a set of Superior Runes of the Ranger and my set bonuses say Superior Rune of the Ranger (12/6) with the numbers in red. I slotted all six pieces, does this mean I only needed three of them and I wasted money but an additional three?

You need 6/6 to get full set bonuses…. I’d screen shot it and submit it as a bug if it’s displaying 12/6 when you only have 6 of the runes….

Your PvP gear has 6/6 superior rune of the ranger as well. That is why it is displaying 12/6. You still need all 6 on your gear to granted the effects.

It is a display only bug and has been reported numerous times. It’s just low on the priority list of things to fix since it is a display only issue.

I’m guessing you have 6 equipped on your regular armor, and an additional 6 on your PvP armor. That is a display bug.

Only the armor that you are actually wearing will count for the rune set bonus. (If you want to get the #6 bonus under water, consider including a rune in your aquabreather as well.)

Don’t forget to upgrade your Aquatic Breather and Rune that as well. When you go in water, you automatically switch helms and will lose out on your bonus.

I was confused my self when I saw this happening with my Ranger. I thought I was bugging the game and was afraid i’d get banned for it. I only had 3 Superior Runes and said I had 9/6. Phew

if he had 3 superior rune of the ranger on 3 pve gear, then 3 superior rune of the Pirate on the other 3 pve gear, then 3 superior rune of the ranger on 3 pvp gear, then 3 superior rune of the Pirate on the other 3 pvp gear, both would show as 6/6 equipped – would he get all 6 stats from both rune sets?

There is a bug that is adding up your pvp and pve rune selection. Just take note of that from now on, because it really isn’t going to get fixed.
