Q:
Level 43 Asuran Guardian
Q:
What does that number mean? It happens when I apply a rune to my armour.
Minor Rune of the Dolyak (6/2)
What is the 6/2?
A:
It means you are wearing 6 of that specific rune, therefore the other 4 are useless and doing nothing. The first number is how many of a particular rune you have equipped, the second number is the max you can have of that rune for it to do anything. (It also counts PvP runes if you are using superior ones so later on you might possibly see 12/6)
Pretty much with minor runes you could put two of a specific rune onto two pieces of armor and get the two buffs it grants.
If you look at each rune, they have bonuses. For every rune of X you have on your armor, you will get bonuses, up to the second number. So, if you have 2 minor runes of Dolyak, you will have 2/2.
There is a bug, however, that is reporting your PVP rune as that number. So mine is currently 12/6 Superior Runes of the Ranger.
However, it only misreports the number. You still get the proper rewards from the runes.
Some runes have a particular set composed from 2,4,6 parts. These runes give bonuses for each piece of the same type equipped.
The minor rune of the dolyak (http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Rune_of_the_Dolyak) it’s composed of 2 parts. I assume you have 6 minor runes of the dolyak ? You are overkilling the bonus.
If that’s the case, I don’t know if you do get 3x the rune bonus.
no u do not.
If u have equiped 6 of the same minor rune, u do not get the 2 bonuses 3 times (unfortunately).
So, equip max two of the same minor rune.
