So is there a way to stop messages and in-game mail from people who are not on my friends list? Spam is starting to get pretty bad. I log in and immediately get in-game mail or tells selling gold. Gathering areas are being spammed by gold farmers selling their wares.

It is horrible and starting to take away from the fun in the game.

Other games have controls to limit this… what about GW2?

Thanks for the bump Stryker, spam is getting horrible … you would think the in market would rise to remove it. But it isn’t yet. I was hoping that a market like Eve has would stifle this type of annoyance.

As far as mail? I’m not sure.

But you can add someone to your ignore list by right clicking on their name and clicking the “Block” option. That will block in-game messages and any spam in all of the general chat channels.

I haven’t tested it with mail, so I don’t know if it works there.
