I’ve checked and the wiki and googled, and cannot find anything on this.

Salvage kits have a number next to them which I think represents how many times they can be used.

When the number disappears, I presume this means that they have been used the maximum amount of times, but they remain in the inventory, and when double clicked it looks like they can still be used again? The wiki says “Most have 25 uses before they are consumed.”

I don’t get it.. what are you supposed to go with an ‘consumed’ salvage kit? I tried destroying but the game does not seem to like this and wants you to type the name in – I am thinking is there a way to somehow regenerate the uses of an ‘consumed’ salvage kit?

If there is no number next to it that means there is one item. So you have one use left. Try salvaging something if you can’t ( and the item is salvageable) then it’s probably a bug try destroying it if it persists contact support.

It should disappear from your inventory after all its uses. Most salvage kits have 25 uses, so after you salvage 25 items it should automatically disappear from your inventory. If it’s not, probably some sort of bug, but you can always delete it by clicking “destroy” – when it asks you to type the name of the item, it’s just making sure that you want to destroy it, most rare and unique items have this feature.

There isn’t a way to “regenerate” a salvage kit except to get another one. When you have 1 use left, the number in the corner disappears so just salvage something with it and it will disappear from your inventory. In effect what you have is a stack of salvage kits and each time you use it, 1 stack is consumed

^^^ This. You can’t recharge them and you can’t stack several partially used ones to make one with all the charges.

I have often thought that would be an awesome change to the game…..not sure why it’s not possible since all other consumables CAN stack like this.

It is a shame you can’t stack them, but it does give Mystic Salvage kit most of its value since there isn’t a cheaper (I think?) alternative of stacking 10 master salvage kits.

They should allow stacking but just like regular items have a stack limit. In this case the limit would be 25. No infringing upon mystic salvage kit but allow multiple partially used kits to be combined.

Maybe I salvage more than most people but I can’t imagine having half used kits hanging around more than an hr or so before I’d used them all salvaging.

There’s been more times than I can count that I notice I’m running low, buy another kit and end up using it instead of the one with a few charges left.

I present the MYSTIC SALVAGE KIT as a rebuttal….. (250 charges)

Even if they allowed only 25 max on the lower kits, it would be nice to be able to combine lesser stacks together (they should have done this when they made them Account Bound).

Same goes for gathering tool stacks.

In addition you can get the fine salvage kits with karma from the T3 cultural weapon trader in Black Citadel (near the front of the trading post), meaning you only need to buy the 2 other salvage kits.
