So should I bother using the best salvage kits for blue/green items ? Also what does ‘20% of rarer materials’ really do? I never gotten and rare stuff from salvaging.

I’ve used loads of blue quality salvaging kits, and never got rare materials, so I assume they’re bugged.

I have a stack of Black Lion salvage kits I reserve for when I want to get good sigil upgrades out of items.

I’ve had plenty of rare materials, like Crystals and Orbs and such, the Rare is anything that is of Rare (Yellow colored item).

Whether you bother using them or not is up to you, I do it by item, if its an 80 blue i might do it, some pieces i hardly ever do it and use basic. If it has a good sigil on but i dont care for loss i might use a good one, if its a sigil i really want i ensure i use black trading or transmute it.

I’d only use the best salvage kits if you wanna try and salvage a rune from some items. But thats just my experience using it ;p

Use a transmutation stone. Basic for lvl 1-79 stuff. Only Fine Transmutation stones work on lvl 80 gear.

Double click the Transmute, have both items in your bag ~ say boots, put each into their own boxs then select the look of the item -(one you like the look of better of the two)

select the stats ~ the better one, and any gems you have added then click ok,
and thats it – your new item can have the look of the old boots and have the stats of the new ones.

I used one kit that said you had a 40% chance of salvaging upgrades. Salvaged 6 greens and got one rune of something or other. So it was more like a 20% chance. Or maybe I just have bad luck with them.

I think we should have the old salvage system back I only get asked if I want to salvage a green item but not the actual signet attached.

I think it worked once for me but thats it.
