Hello people! I have just now returned to GW2 since I really missed it, though I have almost forgotten everything about the game, and I was not able to start playing my warrior again since I don’t remember any skills and actually not much of the gamplay itself, so I decided to use a scroll of experience on my mesmer to get it to lvl 20 and start from there, (I know it’s stupid but i don’t like the first levels) but now I’m level 20 stuck in the level 1 zone , where do i go from there to start in a level 20 zone?

You can still level up if you play in the low level areas, events and XP you get from hearts, kills and events scale. The one advantage of playing on an area of your own level is that if you fill a heart, the gear they sell will be of your apropiate level.

If you do want to level in a level apropiate area, you have several options of areas for levels 15-25. You can get to snowden drifts from wayfarer’s foothils (norn starter area), the entrance is near the northwest corner of it (there’s a road leading up to it), diessa plateau, entrance is at the north of the black citadel (Charr city), Kessex Hills, entrance is from queensdale (human starter area), near the southwest corner of the map, and Brisban Wildlands, entrance is north of metrica province (asura starter), near the thaumanova reactor or Caledon Forest (sylvari starter) near the northwest corner of the map.

It’s a pile of Elonian protection magic, mixed with a little monk training,
wrapped up in some crazy ritualist hoo-ha from Cantha.
A real grab bag of ‘you can’t hurt me. They’re called Guardians.

Firstly you can play a level 20 character in a level 1 zone and still get XP and decent cash and loot thanks to the downscaling system. (In fact right now one of the most profitable areas for level 80 characters is the human starting zone.)

But if you really want to go to a level 20 zone how to get there depends on which race you’re playing and therefore which starter zone you’re in. But as a general rule of thumb it will be on the opposite side from the city.

Wow.

Thanks for the quick and very helpful answer! I think I will journey through the level 1 zone then just to get started again and learn all the controls etc!

One more question, is there a way to enable tips ingame so I can get some useful tips for controls etc again?

There is also a gate in your home city that takes you to Lions Arch which in turn has gates to ALL the other starter cities (and their connected starter zones).

You can access Lions Arch from just about anywhere in the game by using the PvP or WvW icons in the upper left to enter those areas and then use a nearby gate to Lions Arch (free return to LA).
