So for quite a while now I’ve been wanting to make a condi class but have never got around to doing it, but now that I have I really don’t know what to play.

Basically I’m just wanting an overall good and, most importantly, fun condition class to play in PvE and PvP.

Revenant seemed appealing to me but I feel like the enjoyment I would get from playing it would come at a cost and I’d probably be looked down upon in higher tier fractals/raids because it’s weak.

If someone could maybe summarise a few of the classes in terms of how good they are at running condi that would be cool.

I don’t think you should focus on the specifics too much because the meta changes drastically over the years. What’s hip today might become passé.

So with that in mind, necro is probably the most condi oriented by design. Whatever the current flavor of the month is, you can count on a condi necro at least not being absolutely terrible. Engi is a close second, although that profession drifts a lot more between condi and power being the rage. Especially power since scrapper is here.

Berzerkers and Chronomancers have solid condi-builds too.

Chrono for pvp for sure is strong and Engi is really a lot of fun, once your fingers heal!
As mentioned, Necro is the top dog I reckon but Druid is also a very strong and somewhat desired Condi class that’s heaps fun and the mobs just melt in HoT.
Word of caution though, going full out serious Condi is/can be expensive so be prepared. Have fun!

Meta is that for a reason it changes drastically at times; Anet tends to do quarterly balance changes that may be more in future tho.

Necro is the sure lasting condi class. Mesmer tho can be great, Engi is awesome condi it’s not meta like before but can return easily; and Ranger has great condi as well, tho again, depends on game type.

But Condi is more expensive; sadly… at least, to really maximize things; Viper is it and outside of PvP have to craft it. Certainly there’s other options like Rabid, Carrion, Sinister etc. that will work as build towards Viper/other as can buy off TP or karma vendors for those sets. And you’ll need something as get yourself viper or other; unlesss sPvP. Condi imo requires more dedication of gears.
