Does anyone know what triggers the Secrets in the Swamp quest chain in Queensdale?

The Wiki says it can be triggered once every 3 hours. I’ve been in the map for about 3 and a half hours and the quest chain hasn’t started in all that time, but I can’t find a trigger for it either.

I think the trigger is completing the three surrounding events of driving off underworld creatures from Heartswood, the monestary and Tammin Foothills. This this sets off the two group events in the swamp. I have been involved in this fight but wasn’t there when it started.

Well I can say if it’s on a timer it’s a very long one. I’ve now been in the general area of the swamp (where the quest notification shows up) for almost 8 hours and the event chain hasn’t started.

I’m also wondering that.

I only did this event once and every time I am near Queensdale I take a look, and I’ve been waiting a lot and haven’t seen it again.
My guess is, either the event is permanently bugged, or it was ridiculous prerequisites (like I read on another topic that you need at least X people in the area).

Go to the event heart.
Near the heart NPC are two other NPCs.
Talk to the female one.
Finish her dialog.
This should open a portal.
Kill what comes up.
If the event timer has refreshed, then it should start the chain events that lead up to Mr big boss.

I’ve heard that from a few different people but I’ve never actually seen it work. I’ve tried it myself about a dozen times and once stood by her for a couple of hours while other people opened the portal repeatedly and the event never triggered. Then when it did start I asked in map chat and apparently no one had been anywhere near her.
