I just bought Phoenix armor for my Thief char and I thought I understood that thief class can wear light armor, but unfortunately I can’t equip it. So I created a warrior and I wanted to send the phoenix armor over to my warrior, but it won’t allow me to place the gear in the slots. So what can or can I not do with this armor I purchased?

Phoenix armor is a light armor set that can be used on elementalists, necromancers, and mesmers. You cannot send via mail, but you can place it in your bank for another character to use

You can visit any crafting station or Bank NPC to deposit the armour in your account bank and then when you log on as your thief just pick it up from the bank

Just make sure it’s a friend you can trust because if they choose not to send it back then you’ve lost it forever. Anet won’t get it back for you.

(Although I’m pretty sure the gem store armors are all account bound, so this wouldn’t work.)

If you absolutely don’t want it, you can also send a ticket to the support. They might be able to replace it.

Yes, they are. But as others have said, you can just use the bank to transfer it. Mailing items to your own account is prohibited, because you could exploit this to expand your inventory.
