Sensible looking heavy helmet?
Just leave it undisplayed and you’re done.

Just my thoughts as well.
If you insist in having a helmet, I would advise you to take a look at the order of whispers helmet.
(if your not in the order you can buy it with a different character, transmutate it to a white helmet to make it accountbound, put in bank, pick up with this one and transmutate it to decent stats.)
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
Nobleman, Avenger or Protector helmet if you want a winged theme.

Human T2 and T3 or the Caduceus Manor armor would go well with it, IMHO, another option, if you have GW1, would be the icelord’s diadem (though it’s blue and undieable) but you’ll need 24 HoM points to get it, not something you’re likely to do quickly unless you already played GW1 for a while:
wrapped up in some crazy ritualist hoo-ha from Cantha.
A real grab bag of ‘you can’t hurt me. They’re called Guardians.
You could go to gw2armorgallery.com to check out all the helmets/other armors. But I think T3 Human Cultural helmet is what you’re looking for
Thank for suggestions guys. Luckly I went whisper route for this character. While there are helmets with wings motif, they tend to have some dealbreakers – like some stupid earrings added, thorns randomly going from ears area, and, mostly, which is the greatest offender, they are mono color so they always look awkward if one matches colors carefully.
Whispers helmet goes further with the theme, with bird head aesthetic, very similar to what you can see on Griffith in Berserk manga. Here is my, for now, final build. Thank you for tips.
Looked better without helmet, IMO.
if you have access to HoM skins, the IceLord Diadem http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Icelord%27s_Heavy_Diadem goes perfectly with wings (on female characters at least)
