Guild Wars 2

So I just got this game only to find out that I can’t play with my friends? I can’t create a character on their server because it’s full. It said full at 7am pacific on Tuesday morning, so I don’t see it as being a peak time issue. So what, I just wait, not playing this game until this changes at some point down the road? I get the message that if I play on another server I have to pay to transfer to my friends’ server once spots open up, so that doesn’t seem like an option I want to choose. Am I missing something?

You can pick any server and guest visit on your friends server … Once free server xfers are over it will be set up we’re told. So you can go adventure with them any time … You just can’t participate in WvW stuff on their server.

Hmm, i dont see an option to guest to another server.

Guesting on other servers is going to become available when free transfers end, as I understand it. The easiest thing is for your friends to transfer to another, less busy server where you can join them – they wouldn’t really lose out on anything I don’t think (don’t quote me on that). I can understand if they don’t want to do that, but it’s the simplest solution I can see.

How much longer roughly until free server transfers are over? :S any ideas? surely with the game coming available for purchase again only yesterday I still would have a week or longer
