I have some buddies that I would like to play with on Dragonbrand but the server is full and won’t let me create a character there. They already have high level characters and would be inconvenient to swap to a different server at this point. I got this game specifically to play with them. Will the server selection ever let me create a character there?

Yes, just wait til the server is no longer full to switch.

Usually early morning in your servers timezone is the best time to transfer.

Also, why would it be inconvienient for them to swap? Accounts are tied to one server. You have to initiate a server transfer ( which is free right now) in order to play on another server.
