Guild Wars 2

Hi! I bought guild wars 2 when it had just come out, but never played because it’s more fun with friends…

now my friends bought it because of the recent huge discount, but they’re all in tarnished coast. Tarnished coast is ALWAYS full…any tips or ideas for when I can transfer from sea of sorrows? If I start leveling now, how hard is it to get those blue gem things to transfer my character to tarnished coast?

Unless you are trying to do WvW together the server you are on doesn’t matter. Just create a party and the game will automatically toss you into the same instances assuming it is not full. If it is full the person in the full instance can right click on the party portrait of the non-full person and select “join in …”.

later when we do decide to do WvW, how difficult will it be for me to transfer servers?

That is pretty much impossible to know.

Edit: There will probably be more shifts whenever the new WvW tournaments start up.

Yes, most of the time during off-peak hours the servers will not be full.

It depends on time of day and time of week. Don’t expect to get on a popular server on the weekend, but you might get lucky. Try Monday or Tuesday.

Most of Tarnished Coast seems to live in Europe or the East Coast of NA. Try 12am-3am Pacific Standard Time.
