Guild Wars 2

In this achievement we have to free 5 people from crystals by destroying the crystals spawned by the shatterer. This seems somewhat difficult though. This morning I was at the shatterer fight and we had about 10 people there, so nothing too much. When shatterer hits 50% hp, he spawns these crystals, I think exactly five of them. It’s impossible to finish all these five before someone else does destroy at least one, and even tagging is difficult (if possible at all since they are not monsters and you can’t lay conditions on them.)

So the problem is that he spawns exactly five crystals and unless you are alone in there it’s impossible to destroy them all. Now this leaves me wondering if I am missing some key strategy or mechanic in this fight, making this achievement much easier to get. Is there actually more to it? This is the last boss achievement I’m missing.

I don’t know, because I haven’t done this event, but might it be cumulative? You repeat the event a few times, freeing 1-2 crystals each time until you get your five?

This is only a suggestion, I’d be interested to know the right answer for when I get to face the Shatterer myself.

Have done Shatterer quite a few times over different Characters and have yet to get 1 crystal on either.
