Allo, everyone. In an effort to further enhance a bunker/regen warrior build that I am experimenting with for WVW and PVP to handle/resist X v 1, I’ve begun to consider slotting a Sigil of Water in several of my weapon sets due to the recent buffs.
As of now, It seems that Sigil of Water now has around 400-ish heal with my current build, which means that, potentially, a battle in WVW or PVP could heal allies for around 400HP every 5-7 seconds. A Duel would proc 400HP on you every 5-7 seconds, on top of heals from regen+signet+adrenal+etc.
My question is to other players that have done testing on the new revised Sigil of Water. Of those that have, what are your thoughts? Does it seem viable enough to include in a pvp/wvw build(particularly for a commander)?
And, since the AOE is now apparently focused on the target, does it mean that damage done at range (with a rifle/longbow/pistol) would be too far off to heal the attacker?

That part seems unchanged. Just tested attacking at 1200 range. I was still getting healed. It should be healing you plus 4 other people near your target.
What are you using for the other sigil? Benevolence looks interesting.
As mainly a WvW I really have to recommend against this. A warrior is ablest server by at least and Impact Sigil in hammer and Bloodlust or perception somewhere. If you want to bunker take shield offhand and run stances as a commander. A battle can be over in 5 seconds so your 400×5=2k ally heal would be useless.
I however would recommend this.

Very good survivalist warrior which is what you need as a commander.
If running a healing build I’d really recommend using a Guardian for this instead of a Warrior, for heal/protection symbols and more heals from virtue of resolve in addition to the sigil of water.
Warriors ‘can’ do this role, but it heals for so much less (plus in zergs everyone already has perm regen from some source already anyway) that it’d be much better served acting either as a controller or damage dealer instead for the zerg. The bunker-types usually act as controllers.
