I never really considered this but after making Ascended weapons I need help with sigils.

I have a sword and shield on Revenant. If I auto attack with the sword can sigils on my shield, that have a on hit or on critical effect proc even though I am technically not attacking with the shield?

yes, it will proc from auto attack, even though it is in your shield
