I was wondering both these doubloons seem to give the same amount of magic find, the gold ones tend to be more expensive on the trading post though.
Both give +2 magic find.

Is there any reason for that?
Or does the Gold Doubloon have no edge of the silver one whatsoever?

as far as i can recall, it might be because you can make a different rune with either doubloon.

Silver Doubloon can be used to create Minor Sigil of luck
Gold Doubloon can be used to create Major Sigil of luck
