Guild Wars 2

I am at the hidden cave instance in the silver wastes, and need to give the torch to a NPC to carry and this is fine BUT after I plant the Memory Seed and go through that I go and talk to Caith and ask her for the Egg. Then the Dragon comes and blocks me in with vines. I am supposed to Light a ring of fire with the torch but the NPC has it outside of the vine ring.. HOW DO I RETREIVE IT FROM HIM??? Any suggestions would be GREATLY Appreciated. LOL Bass Hunter, AKA Fred.

The NPC should be tossing the torch over the vines. Look for a white circle on the ground, stand in it to get a buff. With that buff active, go to the fire lighting location and press F. Be aware the dragon will be tossing things at you to interrupt your channel. Braham will shout BOSS! and put up a blue bubble to help protect you and that is the best spot to go light but you likely want a source of stability (or else someone else in the instance with you also lighting the walls).

The next thing that will happen somewhere in that fight that will confuse the heck out of you is that shadow creatures will appear and head straight for your lit walls to put them out. You cannot hurt them unless you have the light buff on you. So have a ranged weapon, stand in the white circle, shoot the shadows to one shot them, then go light your next section. If you shoot them while not in the circle, you lose the buff and have to wait for the circle to appear again. Meanwhile you’ll have rockfalls, exploding vines, and dragon claws to deal with.

Thanks to both of you.. I will try this out tomorrow and let you know how I fared. Been trying to finish this for MONTHS, but developed more people to L 80. None of my others got this Instance.
