When fighting the boss on the North Lane you stand on the flowers but sometimes the flowers do not open. Today it appeared someone was destroying the flowers so I said in chat that you stand on them not shoot them. They told me you had to shoot them to get them to bloom.

So do we shoot the flowers on North Lane or not?

To make the flowers open you have to damage them. When they’re “destroyed” they open up and you can stand on them.

You need to destroy it, yes.
If you wait too long the bloom will explode and damage around it, if you “destroy” it before that, it will open and you can stand above it.

It’s very easy for 1 person to do enough damage to open a bloom, so there’s usually a few who make sure to do this in each ‘round’ of the fight so they’re ready for everyone else to stand on (and don’t blow up and do damage). So most people usually don’t need to worry about it.

But it does need to be done for the attempt to succeed. If for some reason no one is doing that the commander should really ask/assign some people, but it also can’t hurt to throw a few hits into any closed blooms near you at a convenient moment.
