Q:

Okay, i have been attempting to look for info via youtube displaying small gang 2-6 people running around in WvW. However, most is dated 6 months ago. I have been experimenting as i am still new with different comps. Is there a comp mechanic? I mean i know there is not a trinity.

The one that seems to have worked the best, was 1 guard 1 ranger. We were able to take sentry/camps/1-2 other people. I was just wandering if anyone has any other tips or combos for relatively small scale wvw.

I ran with a couple of commanders in ts3 with a group of 25 and another i could not guess at. It was fun, and got to see what it was like assaulting towers. However, i tend to get lost in the…multitude of things occurring. Where when i have roamed with a friend or 2 we tend to have fun and kinda get whats going on.

2nd question
I seem to have a hard time fighting thieves even when its 2-3v1. Tips? [Using Guard]

Thanks in advance for any tips/comments.

So, as for videos just search specifc classes you’re interested (example: ranger wvw roaming) or look up specific guilds (Example: GT guild roaming)

Compositions really only matter if you and your roaming party are going full serious mode. However in general it is good to have some people with more sustain (warrior/gaurdian) and some AoE (ele, engineer) and bursts (Thief, mesmer) etc etc. When roaming with my own guild we don’t plan our traits and comp around eachother, at most we just fill what we might be lacking (example being if we’ll have a gaurdian if everyone else is on glass cannons) things like that.

And yes, I used GT (Genesis Theory) as an example because we do have a channel with a few videos up. Feel free to search for them. :P Also I can help in game if you ever want to ask questions there about classes or whatever.

Oh, and facing thieves just takes time and patience. Eventually you get better at it, but just due to the nature of the thief class it’ll always be an annoyance to deal with.
