Im looking for a way to just record gw2 on my desktop in HD without fps dropping, i have an alienware m17x i7 with 8gb of ram, Nvidia GeForce GTX 660M, and i play at the maximum graphics and plays beautifully, even wvw, and would like it be the same when i record it

MSI Afterburner isn’t too bad.

There’s also DXTory, but I think that costs.

Fraps is probably the best you are going to get.

As far as free versions go, I’ve found that bandicam doesn’t drop FPS as much as Fraps. However, if you’re using the free version, you’re limited to 10 mins of recording at a time.

I cringed when you said Alienware :/ – Fraps is by far the best.

To me, DXTory is the best one. It is not free, but it is less cpu intensive than fraps, and so you can record things full screen HD without noticeable fps drop.

If I remember well they have a trial.

To me Enjin ingame client is very good – you can directly upload it to youtube or your homepage.

MSI Afterburner is by far the best recorder I have ever used. Its free as well, better than fraps, better than ll the rest.

Also, it doesnt have stupid watermarks on it unless you pay for it, as its free. Free and does a perfect job. Lots of options as well if you want to fine tune recording for better performance vs quality.
