I’m a bit like you…all the shorthand is a bit of mystery. I’d hazard a guess that D/D might be dual daggers and D/P dual pistols though.

When you buy your next Training Manual your trait points will be reset, but I think you can reset them at any point by just talking to the same trainers you buy the manuals from and paying a fee (5 coppers per trait point or thereabouts)

D/D = Dagger/Dagger. D/P = I’m guessing Dagger/Pistol.

As said above D/D = Dagger/Dagger and D/P = Dagger/Pistol
Can be confusing with things like S/S……so my advice is to not talk like this because it is something lazy people do!

As for the trait points, at level 11 you will get your first trait point, with the first manual you will be able to allocate a max amount of 10 to any line, meaning that before the next manual at level 40 you can have 3 lines with 10 trait points in them

And when you talk to the trainer you have 3 options :
- buy manual
- reset trait points (to allocate them differently)
- say goodbye (or whatever)

Just one addition. Using a traitbook (beside opening a new line of traits) also resets your traitpoints. so you can redistribute them again.

I wouldn’t pass on that kind of advice since buying a trait book to reset your points is more expensive than simply paying the merchant to reset your points directly.

I’m not sure he was saying TO buy trait books to reset them, just that when you use a trait book, it resets your traits, so watch out. (I don’t think you can use the same trait book multiple times, can you?)

Im pretty sure that you cant use the same book more than once, so no you cant keep using books to reset traits.
