-As it costs 1000 gems, is it permanent?

-How is it accessed? ( = do you need to have some sort of item in your inventory, thus limiting it to just one character at a time without a bank transfer…i’m curious because i change my characters often while i’m playing.)

-Where are you dropped off if you log out while in the Royal Terrace? ( = do you remain there or are you sent somewhere else, like LA, when you log back in)

-Can others in your party come there with you?

-Is it worth the price?

- It’s permanent all right, I got mine when it was released in January.
- You get an item that, when used, teleports you directly to the Royal Terrace from any open world PvE map. It’s account bound, but you only get one per purchase.
- When you log into a character that logged out in the terrace you are unceremoniously greeted with a scene of them being kicked out.
- No.
- That’s subjective but I personally feel it is.

I think it’s worth it. Pretty much one stop shopping, crafting, MF, Guild stuff, and a gate to all the other race cities plus LA within 10 seconds of each other.

I got one. It’s pretty nice. Crafting, mystic forge, bank, Trading post, guild banks, merchants, a portal to each of the other cities. All close to one each other (not spread out).

The only thing I wish it did is allow you to jump back to where you came from if you clicked on it again. Other than that it’s useful.

I got one in the first round, and found it handy while working up to Tailor 500 and then making some ascended cloth items. I’ve barely used it since, as I don’t use that alt much and all the services the pass offers are available readily enough without having to shuffle the pass via the bank (for added fun, even with it in your bags you’re kicked out on log in, so you’re not by a bank to pick it up from an alt anyway).

Since a merchant, bank access and TP access was granted in the Heart of the Mists in some recent patch (PvP lobby, which you can access from everywhere with 2 mouse clicks), the pressure of having a safe harbor to sell your stuff and buy salvaging kits went down for me.

I bought the permanent version of the captain’s airship pass almost a year ago, and I used it to immediately jump to a safe place with a merchant. Today, where this safe place is the pvp lobby, and you can even jump back to where you were previously, I use the airship pass much less than before. I would not buy it these days, if I did not have one already.
