Why don’t we have this? Just the ability to change some basic options such as hair, skin patters and eye colours would be really nice.

Can anyone shine some light on whether or not this is to be implemented at some point? Probably as cash shop only I suspect if it ever does, but even that would be nice.

Hmm. Other than redying or restyling hair via a “Barbershop” vendor or, perhaps getting a tan from a “Sunbed” vendor, any other change would require some kind of magical intervention, I would have thought… =]

Seriously, though, there was an appearance change service in GW1, paid for with real money, and I imagine this will almost certainly be available in the gemstore sometime in the future.

I’m a mesmer. Illusions is what I do.

Also, the game seems to have changed my eye colour in a recent patch, which bothers me to no end. And there are ‘gear’ options in chargen (like hair ribbons or whatever) that you can’t update when you come across new dye colours. So yeah, definitely needed.

The makeover pack costs $9.99 (£6.99) and comes in 2 versions – regular makeover lets you change your appearance, extreme makeover lets you change your gender too.

I agree that there should at least be the option to change the colour of hair accessories at any time through the dye panel. We can change all our other clothes, it seems odd to leave that one out. But I also think it’d be a bit weird to let people freely change their characters whole appearance, I think it’d be better to offer that through the gem store to limit how often people do it.

Thank god for Gold to gem conversion, all i want to do is change some minor aspects of my character, there’s no way I’d be willing to shell out £7 for it though…
