Q:

I’m playing this game for approx. a month. Enjoy it, however I have some unsolved questions.

Being an Elementalist I’ve used my collected hero points for the fire specialization. I don’t know if there’s a max number of hero points. Use them for other spec’s or keep them for Tempest (a level 80 spec). If current (level 57) usage is beneficial, what’s the best spec? A strong healing one? In some “world” fights I die sometimes, can use a power healing at that moment. Maybe it’s useful for group mates too.

The game offers some group activity (dungeons, raids) and a facility to get into such a group. The presence of such a group is an exception. The requirements are unfamiliar, what is the meaning of asking for P1, P2 or P3? Strolling around at internet shows complaints about the lack of groups (3 year and 1 year old threads). Difficult to understand, at “open world” events I meet a big group of players almost every hour of the day.

Finally, how to join a guild? I expect a list of available guilds, can’t find such a function. Neither sites containing useful information.

Of course I’ve searched this forum, however it’s to complex, at least at this point in time.
I just stick to: Int + Beserker + Precision stats, performing quite well in PvE.

Please assist a newbe.

There is a max HP, but that limit is way above what you need for your specialization. Getting to level 80 without any hero challenges will give you enough HP’s to complete all your normal specializations. To get your elite specialization, you need to complete your normal ones, then earn more HP’s (either in core Tyria or HoT zones) to “buy” the traits.

P1/2/3 refers to the paths of the dungeons. At the beginning of each dungeon, you’re given an option which path to take. It changes the enemies and challenges you face.

Forum search has been broken since forever, with no hope of a fix. Anet themselves suggest using google instead.

There is also the story mode of the dungeon, which must be completed first before you unlock the other 3 paths for yourself. You can bypass this if someone else in your party starts the dungeon who has already completed story mode.
