Didn’t want to derail the other thread with an OT question, so I’ll ask it here.

I’ve been running quite a few karma trains in Orr recently, trying to get my two main girls their armor. However, I’ve noticed on days when “Veteran Slayer” is part of the daily, the numerous veterans we encounter during the trains don’t seem to count toward the daily. The events do.

Is this working as intended?

I think you must contribute a certain amount of damage. IE: qualify for loot.

BTW: Qualify =/= get. Qualify just means eligible.. zero loot is still part of the loot table.

I see people say this, but I have never experienced it. I have gotten credit for every veteran I have killed doing this daily.

I assumed so. Fought the giant two or three times last night on my thief, and she did everything but kick him in his risen kitten. She can deliver damage respectably enough, but the veteran counter never advances.

Maybe a better question is if others are getting daily veteran credit for these events. If they are, then I know I’m doing something terribly wrong.

I didn’t get credit on my clusterbomb thief when running Plinx start to finish. Credit for the veteran slayer that is.

Solo’d a bunch of giants and it was done.

The spot where the Champion oakheart spawns in Queensdale pretty much has 5 veterans there all the time.

Alternatively Tears of Itlaocol in Caledon has nothing but veterans as well.

all worked for me, Orr DE vets too.

I have never gotten daily credit for DE vets, even if I solo them. I have a couple of spots for non-DE vets that I go hit.

I hadn’t considered WvW (duh!). My method is to go to Diessa Plateau and escort the merchant caravan; there’s a vet with each wave of separatist mobs.

I just wondered if the Orr vets are something special, or maybe it has to do with so many people hitting them at once. I’m sure my girl is damaging them.
