Guild Wars 2

I have already google’d and searched this on forums, can’t seem to find a straight answer.

My question is: How do two different people on two different servers play with each other on the same map if neither of us can get into an overflow server to start with. Is there a way to manually join into overflow server?

I would like to quest with my friends on another server, but there doesn’t seem to be a way.

Help is appreciated!

The overflow and server queuing seem to assume that you both have the same home server.
If you do not have the same home server then you have two choices:
1) wait for the “free guesting” feature to be added to the game. This will allow exactly what you are trying to do but it is not yet implemented. GW2 webpage says it will be available “in time”.

2) one of you will need to transfer to the home server that the other is playing on. This will be problematic if you both have 50 friends and a Guild on your respective home servers – especially if the server transfers stop being free.

They are adding a fix where you can choose to stay in the overflow server. Fix incoming.

nono, that’s not related to my question. I’m asking if there is a way for one of us to JOIN in on overflow when NEITHER of us are in overflow. And, I’m 100% sure you can already stay in overflow server if you are in one by pressing “leave queue”

Thanks this is what I was looking for, so basically it’s not implemented yet. You have no idea how many people that I asked basically told me “just click join in” without reading what I was actually asking, it was pretty irritating.

And yes, I thought about xferring, but I do have 30 other friends in my guild who are on same server and the other problem is that, the server that I would need to xfer to is full at the moment.
