Starting Off A Guild..I need help
Well the easiest and fastest way to get it is to buy it with gold.
But I think most guilds start with a group of players deciding to create one, so the leader is never on their own gathering influence. (With the exception of storage guilds obviously.)
Oh, also, if you’re in any other guilds make sure all your characters are representing the new one when they log in because you get influence just for logging in and it automatically goes to whichever guild you’re representing at the time.
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
First off all why??
Why do you want to start your own guild??
If any off the answers is because it is cool/i wont to lead/etc any other selfish reason then dont. A good guildleader needs to invest a lot of time and indeed money in a guild.
Even then it is hard to start your own guild. Most servers have very established guilds of all sizes. so why should people join yours?
To do that you need to be unique. So ask yourself what do I have to offer that is unique. If you can offer something interesting and unique you will find members and you will get influence.
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
If you are all alone “trying to make a guild” and your first priority is how to earn influence rather than finding quality players to play with, then just don’t bother making a guild. Not to be rude, but I honestly think it’s when players like you who recruit other players into their “guild” and give them a bad impression of what a guild really is.
Wow. Some of these replies are kinda harsh.
What kind of guild are you trying to make? Many guilds have a focus area, pvp, pve/storylines, dungeons, Wvw, etc… A strong guild has a strong leader that dedicates a lot of time and gold to the guild, and can also manage people, organize events and activities, and create a good atmosphere. This is not an easy task.
Other guilds are more laid-back. The guild I lead consists of my family, and friends I know in real life. It’s a very small, casual, no pressure kinda guild. The main purpose of my guild is to have a place we can hang out, chat, and have a guild bank for sharing.
I’m also a member of a couple of other guilds. Once focuses on WvW, the other is PvE/dungeon focused. I refer to them as our “sister” guilds. If one of the other guild leaders needs help, or is doing a fun activity, they PM me and we join forces.
What I guess I’m saying is that you need to figure out what style of guild you want to have, and build the members/community. The influence will come in time.
