Kitten just so happens to be Anet’s forum censor word. So, if you type a swear, instead of your swear appearing in your post. it will be replaced by the word kitten. This means everytime you see that word randomly inserted in a post; that person swore. You can have fun trying to guess which word they actually used if you really want to.

I myself have found the use of the word to be fun and hilarious. I now use kitten as my own slang substitute. It’s almost like a smurf type word for me. XD

Thanks for this . I was going nuts trying to figure out why everyone was using the word “kitten” all over the forum. I had searched the web to see if I had missed some new meme.
I always disable profanity filter immediately so had never seen this – but now I need to re-enable it I guess to see all that kitteny goodness replacing F-Bombs ! This is a very cool idea – take something profane and make it cute !
