Stupid Question: Players With Pink Levels?
The pink name means that they have a lot more levels than you. Not so important in the cities. But can be useful if you’re out roaming around in one of the maps where there are enemies.
Seera, I have 5 lvl 80’s so does that mean my toons show pink level too?
Only to people far below your level. It’s all relative. Your 80’s will show pink to people in their 20’s while they are on their 20’s, but if they swap to an 80 your 80 will be back to green.
I don’t think that works out in the wild, though, since everyone gets downscaled and you see them with a lower level green number with an arrow pointing down next to it to indicate they are actually higher level than the zone.
you might find this interesting
They go through several colors based on your level difference:
-8 or more is Grey
-7 to -6 is Green
-5 to -4 is Light Green
-3 to -2 is Greenish White
-1 to +1 is White
+2 to +3 is Light Pink
+4 to +5 is Pink
+6 to +7 is Light Red
+8 is Red
+9 is Deep Red
+10 or more is Magenta

There are a few places in the wild where it can happen, usually at a boundary between regions. The southwest entrance of Mole’s Head will have suspiciously weak enemies if you don’t go too far in.
Thanks everyone, I really appreciate your input/feedback. It was something I always wondered, and thought it might be some achievement I had missed.
and thank you for the link nottsgman.8206. I searched hi and low for this info and couldn’t find anything. I swear the search on this wiki hates me LOL
I’ve also noticed you can see them at World Boss events too.

If you’re seeing magenta level numbers at World Boss events you’re participating with a way too low-level character and frankly, only hurting the event by scaling it up and contributing practically nothing.
Now that’s harsh. Frozen Maw and Shadow Behemoth and Fire Elemental don’t require 80’s or even 20’s. They are in starter zones, after all.

There won’t be enough too low level players to seriously scale the event more than the down scaled players can handle.
Don’t act like a small handful of too low level players will seriously hurt all world bosses.
However, I suggest those players who are a decent amount below the recommended level not do Tequatl or Three Headed Wurm. Those require tons amount of DPS and scaling up by people who can’t do enough DPS could hurt those events since they do have a much higher chance of failure than the other world bosses.

Nope, but if the player is seeing magenta levels at those events he’s ~level 5 himself.
