I have a sylvari mesmer and I was just curious which one do you think is more useful as an elite skill? I mostly use take root, but both are pretty cool.

I don’t know, but the Sylvan wolf is cuter…

Time loop or Moa. Never seen any Sylvari use the wolf.

The Mist Wolf is great low level because he hit’s lower level mobs hard enough to make a difference, can at times summon babies (dawwww) to do AOE damage. And it’s the first one you get which is super helpful so you don’t have to save up for another elite (free is good!) But later on it’s just far too weak to be of any use and the other skills will scale far better. And the Sylvari Wolf seems to be the same way, alright low level but no one really uses it for a reason. Moa seems to be the top of the pick.

PvP wise/dungeons..mass invisibility is arguably the better elite to roll with.

The sylvan hound poisons which is nice, but honestly when I use it (with my engineer) it’s more as a distraction than anything.

Both Mistfire Wolf and Sylvan Hound were deliberately designed to be inferior to profession elites. If you want usefulness, I’d recommend sticking with Time Warp.

None. Racials are rarely useful.

Mesmers have some of the strongest elites in the game.

Mass invisibility for disengage/escape/coordinated PvP/WvW, Moa for 1 on 1s, and Time Warp for just about anything else.
