Q:
Superior Sigils on dual wield, how do they work?
I experimented with this as well and here are my results:
Dual weapons have their own separate effects and on the skills they unlock for you.
Putting a +5% dmg vs monster on both weapons do not give you 10% dmg vs monster over all with all skills, instead, I believe its +5% dmg for the first 3 main hand weapon skills and +5% dmg for the final off hand weapon skills.
It is best to change it up, like an endurance booster sigil on the shield and a dmg booster on the main weapon.
Sorry I can only answer your first question because I’ve yet to experiment with sword and shield.
Just know that sigil buffs like dmg % will not stack, although passive types like endurance restorations do work together (Usually restores half of your endurance per sigil, so equipping two of them will restore 100% endurance on weapon switch)
I don’t think that you can stack the same sigil to get an amplified effect. Not totally sure on that.
If you have something socketed in your offhand it will affect your mainhand attacks and vice versa. So if you have a 30% chance to give might on crits in your offhand and crit with your mainhand you have a chance to apply might. Pretty easy to test in the mists, just get a lot of precision and the might on crit sigil in your offhand, you’ll end up with might stacks sometimes even if you just sit there attacking with your auto attacks.
When first we practice to deceive.
Certain bonuses will not stack. Like 2 of the same stat will not stack. it’s one or the other. Same go for some stacking bonuses. For more info on Sigils and how they work check out the wiki page

As for Q2- not sure. Never tried a class that uses a shield yet.
Lady Raevyn – 11 Necromancer – TC
Fanboy- The New Godwin’s Law.
Your shield is a weapon. It’s not armor. As such it would work the same as it would with a dagger or focus or pistol, it makes no difference.
The thing to test would be two stacking bonus sigils, like corruption and bloodlust. I know that if you have two of the same only one of them will have an effect, but if you have two different ones they should not interfere with eachother.

You can only have 1 sigel like that work so if you have corruption on your main hand and bloodluston your off hand you will only get the corruption per kill the bloodlust does nothing
from the wiki:
Sigils that hold a charge per kill cannot be stacked (i.e. +5 power per kill and +5 condition damage per kill) one or the other shows up. This applies even if you swap weapons. For example if you had two different “On kill stacking stat bonuses” sigils on two different weapons, only the sigil of the weapon you make a kill with first will take effect. If you swap weapons and make a kill, the sigil from the second weapon will not take effect.
