Swapping weapon in Combat?

Heya,

Is the sigil that gives bonuses for swapping weapons in combat useless for Engineers and Eles, or does that bonus work in someway where there is no actual weapon swap?

The sigil activates when you swap attunements on eles, or change to/from kits on engineers.

It’s a pile of Elonian protection magic, mixed with a little monk training,
wrapped up in some crazy ritualist hoo-ha from Cantha.
A real grab bag of ‘you can’t hurt me. They’re called Guardians.
